I can’t begin to praise Dr. Malik enough for what him and his staff did for me. When I slipped my disc I was completely incapacitated. I was physically unable to stand on my own. The NHS referred me for an MRI that was 6 weeks away which was just not an option. At the time I also had a 5 month old at home, staying in the state I was in just wasn’t an option. My husband did extensive research and came across Dr. Malik. He was able to see me the day after we contacted him, gave me an MRI that evening and was able to fit me in for a nerve block the following morning. Although everything went perfectly it provided minimal relief as the slip was so bad. (Which Dr. Malik informed me may happen) Unfortunately I had to have spinal surgery and I wouldn’t want anyone other than Dr. Malik to do it. His knowledge is beyond anything I could imagine. Not only is he an unbelievably talented surgeon and highly respected in his field but he made sure I understood each and every step he took to get me back on my feet. He also made sure to give me every option allowing me to make the most informed decision. I’m forever grateful for all that he’s done for me. He recently performed surgery on my mother to treat severely compressed nerves and a slipped disc, and the entire experience has been absolutely outstanding from start to finish. I had severe pain down my left hand side due to a disc in my neck bulging out and trapping a nerve. Dr Malik explained he would replace the disc releasing the nerve. After the surgery the relief was instant and I am now pain free. So very thankful for his skilled surgery!

When I hobbled into Mr Malik’s office for our initial appointment, and saw he was wearing Hoka’s, I knew I’d found my surgeon! I was seen on the Friday evening, and was added to his operating list for the following day. He made the arrangements with the anaesthetist there and then, and Rebecca, his practice manager was able to quickly arrange my admission for the following morning and details for my insurance provider. The whole experience was slick, I am so thankful for the speed at which everything was organised. The difference in Mr Malik and a previous surgeon I had seen about my sciatica was second to none. He listened and explained everything so thoroughly. When I woke up after the op, all my sciatic pain was gone immediately, and my recovery has been great so far! If I ever needed anything doing to my back again, I would definitely be coming back. From appointment to operation in less than 24hrs…. How fantastic!
